Welcome to the website for the
Washington, DC-area Lithuanian Scouts!

There has been a continuous presence of Lithuanian Scouts in the DC area since 1968, when three all-girls troop was formed under the leadership of vsl. Aldona Kindurienė. The first Kaziuko Muge took place in the spring of 1969. In 1980 the first mixed Draugove was formed under the leadership of s. fil. Meilė Mickiene and included the first cub scout troop. The Academic Scouts formed in 1986 and the first Skautų Vyčių Burelis was formed in 1998

While the number of scouts has ebbed-and-flowed over the years due to DC being a relatively small colony, there currently is a strong contingent of active scouts.

The DC-area Lithuanian Scouts are part of the Lithuanian Scouting Association?s Atlantic Chapter and participate in that Chapter?s annual summer camp.
